What Is Adult Health Nursing ( Medical Surgical Nursing) ?

Definition 
Adult health nursing, also known as medical-surgical nursing, focuses on providing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions and those undergoing surgery, encompassing both acute and chronic illnesses. 

 
Scope of Practice:
Nurses in this field work in various settings like hospitals, clinics, and home healthcare, managing a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. 

Patient Care:
They provide comprehensive care, including:

• Assessment: Evaluating patient conditions and needs. 
• Diagnosis: Identifying nursing diagnoses based on assessment findings. 
• Planning: Developing individualized care plans. 
• Implementation: Providing direct patient care, administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families. 
• Evaluation: Assessing the effectiveness of care and making necessary adjustments.
